  • Perfecting touch up within 4-6 weeks: 1 hr/ 1 hr 30 min
  • Annual Re-touch: 2 hrs.

  • HOW LONG WILL THE TREATMENT LAST?

Semi Permanent Makeup can last several years. This varies from person to person, show more...

depends on your skin type, diet, sun exposure, genetics and environmental factors which can all contribute to how long the pigments will be retained.

As a guide, it could be anything between one to five years before a new treatment is required, although refresher colour boosts are recommended for maintenance during this time.

We recommend a colour boost to be taken every 12-18 months to keep enhancements looking fresh. Should you choose not to have a yearly colour boost your enhancement will fade over a period of approximately 2-3 years. Lips and Eyeliners tend to last longer. It is important to remember that permanent make-up is a “low”, not a “no” maintenance treatment.

  • HOW DOES THIS AFFECT MY BOTOX TREATMENTS?

We recommend you to book your botox appointment at least 4-6 weeks before your initial brow tattooing appointment. This aids with symmetry and skins firmness.

  • WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER MY TREATMENT?

Immediately after treatment, the colour will appear darker than your chosen shade. This is because the pigment takes around seven days to enter the deeper layers of the skin. show more...

  •  After 7-10 days, exfoliation takes place. The top layer of the skin peels off, leaving a softer, lighter colour below. The result is a natural looking enhancement. As the treated area is settling down, itching may occur. This is a good sign as it means the skin is healing. Apply the recommended cream to the treated area as recommended
  • Swelling and redness is minimal and usually subsides within 24 hour.
  • The skin takes 4-8 weeks to heal at a cellular level and for the true pigment colour to settle.
  • Do not scratch the area.
  • This will NOT prevent working or socialising.

You cannot submerge the area in pool/salt water for a minimum of 2 weeks, therefore it is NOT recommended to plan this treatment close to any holidays or swimming events. show more...

  • CAN I BRING MY FRIENDS AND/OR CHILDREN TO THE APPOINTMENT?

Unfortunately, our salon isn’t child friendly and due to Occupational Health & Safety, only the tattooist and client can be in the room during the procedure at all the times.

  •  HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?

Two treatments are usually needed, at least 4-8 weeks apart. Sometimes show more...

just one treatment is sufficient for some skin type. With most procedures, the colour fades dramatically after a week. For the second treatment, the practitioner gauges the colour retention and adds the required amount of pigment.

This is because as the area is healing, some parts may not ‘hold’ as well as others and you may have a few patches that need more colour. This is completely normal and everyone heals differently. Whatever the case, we advise you to always come back for your retouch. Occasionally a third visit is necessary for certain clients.

  • WILL I STILL NEED TO CONTINUE WAXING AND TINTING MY EYEBROWS?

Feather-Touch Brow Tattooing does not affect the natural brow growth; therefore, show more...

if your brow growth is naturally outside the shape that is created, brow waxing/threading may still be necessary. But most of my clients claim that the maintenance of their tattooed brows is much easier than before as they have a perfect shape and outline, makes it much easier to maintain it even by yourself.

In some cases, Feather-Touch Brow tattooing prevents the need for eyebrow tinting treatments, however in the case of a blonde or grey brow hair regular brow tinting may be desired.

  •  CAN I WEAR MAKEUP AFTER THE TREATMENT?

Permanent cosmetics are typically used to enhance your natural features, therefore after your treatment has healed, you can wear makeup to complement and enhance your permanent cosmetics.

  • WILL I BE ABLE TO RETURN BACK TO WORK THE NEXT DAY?

Yes. Most clients show little sign of swelling or redness after treatment. The colour will be quite dark at first. It will soften and lighten within 10 days. show more...

Lip treatment clients can experience moderate swelling and bruising and the colour will look strong for 3-7 days. With Lip tattoos, I recommend taking minimum 3-4 days off work. It is only with the full lip treatment that swelling can last for up to 72 hours or even a little longer and the lips will be extremely dry. Some mature age clients may experience very sore and rough lips for approximately 7 days.

or infection and to retain the maximum amount of pigment implanted.

After 48 hrs no direct running water on the tattooed area (this means do not have the shower running onto your face). Use a soft face washer to wash your face and only dab at the tattooed area gently, no rubbing.

  • The speed at which the skin absorbs the pigment – the slower the absorption the longer the pigment will hold.

  • The area of treatment – enhancements to the face, for example, fade more quickly due to constant exposure and product use.
  • Oily skin tends to lose colour more quickly than other skin types.
