In Queen Brows, we offer a FREE consultation (15 Mins) to ensure the health of our client’s skin prior to any cosmetic tattooing appointment. We will assess the health of your skin and recommend you the best option to start with.

A FREE skin test patch is highly recommended by Queen Brows. If you have previous tattooing, you must book FREE test patch at least 3 days prior to your appointment. However, an allergic reaction to pigments/dyes can occur immediately after or manifest years later whether or not skin test patch is performed. Allergic Reactions are extremely rare.

On the treatment day, we always have a proper consultation to check your current health, to discuss the proper eyebrow shape and design and choose the right colour for you.

Upon confirmation, you will receive a phone call from us to do the phone consultation to check your eligibility for the tattooing procedure.

Upon your confirmation, we will send you the instruction on providing the numbing cream for your appointment. We can assist you to apply the numbing cream with your consent, and then commence the procedure after 25 min. We will make the treatment as comfortable as we can for you.

• 7-10 days prior to the lip tattoo appointment, we highly recommend you take either lysine or a cold sore preventative as this will reduce the probability of cold sores in a healing process.
• Keep yourself hydrated please, as well as your lips, keep applying lip balm to moisturise the lips few days prior to the appointment.
• Inform us before your treatment of any medical conditions or severe allergies that may interfere with treatment.
• On the day of your appointment make sure you have eaten sensibly and are well hydrated.
• Any sun exposure and tanning beds should be avoided for at least one month before and after your treatment. If your skin is sunburnt or recently tanned (no fake tan either) at the time of your appointment, we will need to reschedule your treatment to the next available one and you will forfeit your deposit. 
• Please arrive to your appointment how you would normally pencil/powder your eyebrows.

Heidi recommend to start with a “light tint” for that subtle, plumped effect-like your lips, but better and more enhanced.Prior to the actual treatment we spend 10 minutes on the design of your lips to make it symmetrical and more balanced. We choose the closest colour to the one you choose on our pallet, feel free to bring your favourite lip liner or lipstick.

On a treatment day, the first step will be going through a medical consultation with you as well as shape and colour selection. Then we can assist you to apply the numbing cream on the area and should leave for 25 min. Then we design and measure your lips based on your facial features and anatomy using precise measurement tools which takes about 10 min. Feel free to bring in your favourite lip stick colour, we try to match it or choose the closest colour.  Then you will check your lip design to make sure that’s the one you love to see every day.

The main procedure then will be started by using a digital machine with fine needles to deposit the pigment slightly under the skin. Anaesthetic is continually applied to decrease any pain or discomfort during the procedure by client’s consent.

The first thing to remind you is that the day after the treatment, the colour will appear dramatic and richer for 48 hours after the treatment. Following which the outer layer of dry skin will begin to peel slightly, try not to peel them off. On a day 3 afterwards, you may experience a little bit of scabbing and then the colour becomes lighter and fade to some extent. Some clients may experience up to 70% of the colour fading out in the

If you're prone to cold sores, make sure you're taking medication to prevent an outbreak.

• Refrain from touching the area with fingertips and apply an after care cream as instructed by Queen Brows.
• It is also important to avoid exfoliants, oils, lipsticks and spicy foods for at least one week.
• Semi-permanent make up will look very dark and distinct immediately after treatment. DON’T WORRY! Remember the colour will fade 30-50% and will look much more natural when healed.
• It will be 2-3 weeks before the true colour appears and becomes translucent. For some clients it is perfect, others it may be too light, or patchy in some areas. If this is happening, you need to schedule your touch up within 4-6 weeks.
• Swelling and redness is usual. If you experience discomfort, we recommend putting a cold compress on the area. Please make sure it keeps the area cold but does not freeze it. 
• These factors may shorten the lifespan of your treatment: exposure to UVA/UVB rays, rubbing of the area, chemical peels and scrubbing/abrasion, often and intense sweating, hormonal and antibiotic treatments, very oily or very dry skin.
• No Sauna, facial, swimming, massage, steaming, exercise, and sweating.
• No sun, sea, swimming, solarium, light therapies, chemical peelings, fruit acids, microdermabrasion, creams that contain regeneration factor
• Always avoid laser treatments over the treated area (FRAXEL, LASER, IPL), because they can destroy the pigments and cause burns.
• Use of antibiotics and hormonal therapy can lead to a faster pigment fading

Your treatment has not completed yet. It is so important to remember that any kind of cosmetic tattooing procedure is a multi-step Treatment. A perfection session needs to be scheduled 6-8 weeks after your initial appointment to ensures the artist is able to correct any fading inconsistencies and to ensure the lip line looks crisp.

This is also an opportunity to make any minor colour changes. After both sessions, you should expect your lips to fade anywhere from 25 – 50% and peeling to occur for 3 – 7 days depending on your skin type.

Lips tattoo generally lasts between 1 – 7 years however this depends on your skin’s chemistry, active ingredients in your skincare and exposure to the elements. Drier skin types tend to retain the pigment far more effectively than oilier skin types. Clients who are heavy users of “active” ingredients in their skincare such as retinol, AHA and vitamin A, C and E are not recommended to undergo this treatment

Cancellation or rescheduling: any rescheduling or cancellation should be informed 72 hrs. prior to the touchup appointment; otherwise $50 cancellation fee will be charged on the next appointment time.

You can book a touch up session when you need to refresh the colour to keep it more defined, rather than a “wash” of blurred colour. Please consider that the prices vary depends on a time interval from your first appointment.
